Glory Reborn’s Story

Glory Reborn has delivered more than 2,000 Healthy Babies since we began in a small apartment in Cebu City, Philippines in 2003. We have provided maternity care for thousands of women and had the privilege to partner with the women of the Philippines through our education and empowerment program to improve their access to healthcare and their quality of life. This video tells our story and will allow you to understand the hope and vision behind our cause.

the Coffee Challenge

our crazy idea about being able to change the world with the cost of a cup of coffee.

We <3 Coffee. Seriously. So it happened in fact that while we were in line at our local coffee shop we got to thinking about this: Rather than sipping on our delicious one pump Almond Soy Lattes (insert beverage of your choice here) every day, could we really make a difference with the $3 (or let’s be honest- MORE than $3) we spend daily on our caffeine fix.

So we started doing some math…well actually I (David) did, because you should all know I am still not a midwife, but I am an Economist, and well we found some pretty interesting results:

Cambodia

Glory Reborn went to Cambodia on a short term medical mission trip in 2011 & we plan to return in 2012. After a lot of prayer and wanting to ensure we don’t lose our sense of Missionsand its integral part of our Vision here in Cebu, we were presented with a wonderful opportunity to partner with a group of missionaries who have been doing some amazing work in Cambodia for over 16 years.

We truly had a life changing experience in 2011, and it became clear that we need to continue this partnership in the coming years and see what long-term potential Cambodia might have for Glory Reborn.

Healthcare & Hope

The vision behind Glory Reborn is to provide two very simple, very human things: Healthcare & Hope. We provide maternity care to women who would otherwise not receive it, in communities that are at a higher risk for maternal & infant mortality. We provide quality healthcare to both moms & babies. Our program does not just stop at healthcare, but is built on a foundation of education given during prenatal care. Our mommies will become a part of our family, and this relationship ensures a safe & healthy outcome and provides a little bit of hope to what is often a desperate situation. By providing healthcare & hope we are able to empower women to live better lives.
