Thankful is the word that has described Glory Reborn’s 2020. In a year that has brought its share of challenging opportunities it has also brought with it some of the most beautiful moments of heartfelt passion, gratitude, love, and life. I, and we at Glory Reborn, are ending 2020 thankful.
Wilma is a mother of Glory Reborn three years ago. She received assistance from our program including free vitamins, complete laboratory assistance, and gave birth to a healthy baby girl who is now a healthy three year old. Wilma experienced first hand the quality care and assistance that she needed during her pregnancy and birth to ensure she and her baby were healthy. Now, during this pandemic she wanted to give back to other mothers and babies in need. Since Cebu was on military lockdown many pregnant mothers and their partners suddenly became unemployed.
On top of the unemployment they could not go out to prepare baby items for their upcoming birth. Mommy Wilma knew this was her time to give back! I am thankful beyond words that the vision of Glory Reborn to build community came full circle so beautifully and timely. Wilma graciously made 8 gift bags for new mommies and babies with all the essentials.
Thankful tears were shed by 8 mothers who held their healthy babies and went home from Glory Reborn not just with their little miracles but also with the supplies to take care of them. This is the true meaning of Glory Reborn. God’s glory in action being re-born from healthcare providers to mommies to babies to communities. Oh how very thankful I am.
There are so many people, circumstances and life saving equipment to give thanks for this year that I could not possibly put them all here however with overwhelming gratitude I am #givingthanks as we prepare for our annual fundraiser in line with #givingtuesday.
On December 1, 2020, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Glory Reborn will be participating in #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to giving back and encouraging people all over the world to do good. This year, on December 1st, we are raising $20,000 to provide important lifesaving care to 80 babies and their mothers in Cebu, Philippines.

I am thankful for the hundreds of precious babies who were born safely at Glory Reborn amidst a pandemic, some during military lockdown, and for my own little miracle son who we welcomed into the world during this historic time.
I am thankful for our team of frontline employees, from drivers to doctors who in the face of this pandemic chose to continue serving, continue saving lives and continue to offer “face to face” health and hope 24 hours a day.
I am thankful for the community network locally and around the world that have provided through prayer, through encouragement, through wisdom, through practical and financial donation which is sustaining us throughout this year. My heart overflows for the unexpected blessings that have been graciously given. For the anonymous “drop off’s” at our doorstep of gloves, masks, PPE’s, financial donations, baby clothes, groceries, and even a box of chocolates, I am so thankful for YOU!
