Mother’s Day celebration!

We have been quite busy this March – from outreaches, to finishing up on renovations, to administering our free lab day! All these in extra efforts to reach out to many more moms who could use services like ours. The clinic has been buzzing with activity more than ever this month. We have even started our Mother’s day celebrations early! In celebration of a holiday that truly celebrates the lives we invest in we are always eager to bless the new moms in our care. This year we have invited our expectant mothers to a day full of education and fun while touring the finally completed, newly renovated clinic facility! With over 200 moms in our prenatal care program we had to start early batch by batch to ensure the mommies in our program have received a special treat on this Mother’s day that celebrates them. We planned out several stations through each room of the facility which promoted learning, pampering, exercise and prizes!

Prayers and Ministry teachings to fuel our moms for a day packed with fun and learnings!

We are also administering health teachings on this day, from Proper Breastfeeding, HIV awareness, Pregnancy Danger Signs and Family Planning.

Snacks!

This day is also a day for our mothers to relax, and what better way to it than through a good massage and pre-natal yoga.

And of course, we wouldn’t want our mothers to go home from our mini-celebration empty – handed. At the end of each station, prizes are handed over to our moms! And at the end of the day, two of our lucky mommies will get to bring home this beautiful ‘cake’

We are very thankful for a staff that goes over and beyond to reach out to our mothers and give them the quality care and invest in them personally. Our mommies have said that they are so thankful for all they learned and for the pampering and gifts for their upcoming delivery. Blessed to be a blessing to those around us, thank you for blessing over 200 moms this mother’s day with education, exercise, prayer, and gifts for their babies. I’d say this event pretty much summed up our vision for “Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies and Hopeful Hearts”! Many, many thanks for being a part of blessing these mommies this Mother’s Day.
