Over A Decade of Trust

Faithful Friends! This month we were delighted to celebrate a very special delivery. Baby boy Joseph. What’s so special about this little guy? Well his mommy Leinel delivered her first baby in Glory Reborn 12 years ago and still kept her prenatal record card as a remembrance!

We were delighted to see mommy Leinel back again expecting her second baby boy and last month delivered another healthy baby boy at Glory Reborn. What an incredibly special moment!

Leinel recently shared at our baby party that while there may be other hospitals and clinics in Cebu who can provide delivery services they do not have the quality, holistic and spiritual service from pregnancy to labor, even if labor takes a long while, the providers at Glory Reborn never leave our side. Leinel continued to share that mothers can look at all the other hospitals and clinics in our city but they won’t find anywhere with the same service and caring heart as Glory Reborn.

It is amazing to me to think that 12 years ago the loving kindness of our healthcare team, quality care service and the active expression of Jesus’ love towards Leinel provided such a nurturing and safe environment that she saved all her records and eagerly came back over a decade later to seek out that same experience with her next pregnancy.

I am overwhelmed at what Jesus has done through our humble clinic of simple apartments where quality care shines brighter than the hospital in our city. I am honored to work alongside our team that shows Jesus not just in word but in their care, their skills, their attention to every mother and baby, always looking beyond a patient number and into the individual. I am amazed at the reputation which Glory Reborn has built in the community as a safe place, a caring place, a clinic of quality service for 16 years.

I think about how Jesus has taken a small seed, willing hearts and hands and birthed thousands of little lives while still seeing the ONE mommy, the ONE baby who needed a little extra care. I think about how much our services, our quality care, our equipment, and our hearts have changed and grown. We’ve certainly “upgraded” each and every year with your partnership, with Jesus’ embrace, with enhanced education and incredible team members. I see how much our prayer of seeing God’s glory re-born in a nation has come to life. When I look at Leinel and baby Joseph I can’t help but give thanks to our faithful Jesus.

I love the line of the song that says, “all my life you have been faithful; all my life you have been so so good; with every breath that I am able I will sing of the goodness of God” (Goodness of God by Bethel Music)

I couldn’t say it any better! It is truly an honor to see mommies like Leinel continue to seek the care of Glory Reborn over a decade later. It is even more incredible to think of how far we have come in the 12 years since she first delivered in our humble clinic.

Twelve years ago we didn’t have an ultrasound machine, we didn’t have fetal monitors, we had one delivery bed and an electric fan to keep cool in the tropical heat.

Today Glory Reborn has high quality equipment, multiple delivery beds, highly skilled and trained staff, three fetal heart monitors, air conditioning unit (thank you Lord!) and we are running out of space! I am eager to see how the Lord will continue to work in and through Glory Reborn in the next years ahead, and I sure pray it includes growing us into our own bigger facility 🙂

I am thankful that this month gave us a chance to reflect on the past and be reminded of just how faithful Jesus is to us through every season, through every mommy and baby, through every outreach He is birthing life and hope. Thank you for your continued faithfulness to Glory Reborn. Together we are ensuring that mommies like Leinel and baby Joseph continue to receive complete, quality, holistic care in Cebu.
