Quality Newborn & Maternal Care

At Glory Reborn we take great effort to ensure that our mommies and babies receive the best quality care. For our newborns not only do they have a clean, safe, loving environment to be welcomed into but we also offer newborn screening for metabolic disorders which must be addressed in the first days of life. Glory Reborn, thanks to incredible supporters like you, is now licensed to offer newborn hearing screening to all our newborns. This is crucial in early intervention for treatment options and speech development of the child as he/she grows.

From what we know we are one of the first, if not the first, birthing home in Cebu to offer hearing screening to newborns. This is a wonderful step of growth for newborn care at Glory Reborn. Equality of care for marginalized mothers and babies is what we exist to bring and we are so proud to continue growing in this and offering only the very best to our babies. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.

For our mommies, this year has brought improvements in our quality care program through offering an increased variety of screening laboratories, enhanced health teachings and updated equipment. We are so thankful that we have updated equipment for monitoring babies in the womb as well as labor and delivery beds. These are the day to day tools that we use to ensure we are offering our mommies the best care and continually looking out for their developing babies.

One of the greatest needs we had this year was to upgrade our autoclave. This is a sterilizing machine for all our medical equipment. God is ever amazing in providing! Our previous machine broke just two weeks before a new autoclave arrived!

How amazing is it to see the body of Christ working together to supply one another. Acts 2:42-47 talks about how the community of believers worked and lived their lives helping one another. In verse 45-47 it says, “They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

It’s beautiful and inspiring to be here in Cebu offering quality care to mothers and babies and seeing the outpouring of other believers adding such key components like hearing machines and delivery beds to ensure that we offer the best to our mommies and babies just as Jesus has given to us His very best.

We whole heartedly thank each of you for serving along side of us and we are so thankful that God has been ever faithful to continue to “add to our number” new believers, new mommies, new babies, new families and a growing community of hope!
